Filter crypto spam without muting every crypto discussion

Describe the promotion you want to avoid, add an exception for useful discussion, then preview the rule before enabling account actions.

Start with a specific rule

Try: “Posts promoting token presales, unsolicited airdrop claims, or giveaways that ask readers to connect a wallet.” This targets a pattern in the post text, rather than every mention of crypto.

Add an exception: “Posts warning about scams, discussing cryptography research, or explaining open-source blockchain code without promoting a sale.”

Choose the right action

Choose Mute to mute matching authors, or Block if you want to block them. These are account actions on X, not just a visual filter for one post.

Jev evaluates post text, author handle and display name. It does not inspect attached images, profile biographies or wallet destinations, and a match is not proof that an account is a bot or a scammer.

Preview, then activate

Open Jev in ReDeck, configure your TypeSafe API key and enable Timeline History. Use the rule preview to review recent saved posts before turning on Jev.

Begin with a high match threshold and check both matches and exceptions. Adjust weekly and monthly request limits and the per-minute action limit to suit your usage. These controls do not guarantee that X will never rate-limit an action.
