Make your X workflow follow your own rules

1. Open Jev and connect TypeSafe

Install a ReDeck extension version that includes Jev, sign in to X and open x.com/redeck. Open Jev from the sidebar, enter your TypeSafe API key and grant the API permission when prompted.

Enable Timeline History so Jev has saved posts to evaluate. Jev starts disabled; configure and preview a rule before enabling live processing.

2. Describe a match and an exception

For example: “Original posts explaining a new open-source machine learning benchmark, with concrete results.” Add an exception such as “Promotional tool lists, affiliate links or unsupported claims.”

Use the match threshold to control how strong a match must be. A model score is an estimate, not a guarantee of correctness.

3. Pick one of six actions

Block or mute the author; like, bookmark or repost the post; or add the author to an X list. For the list action, choose a list you can manage.

Like and Bookmark are separate actions. Liking a post does not also save it to Bookmarks.

4. Preview and check activity

Preview the rule against recent Timeline History entries. The preview evaluates matches without performing the selected X action, but it uses the TypeSafe API and counts toward request usage.

Save the rule, then enable Jev. New or edited rules apply to posts first saved from that point onward, rather than automatically applying actions to your entire history.

Review the activity log, pause individual rules or Jev itself, and adjust request and action limits as needed.

What leaves your device

Rule settings and the API key are stored locally. During evaluation, the post text, author handle, display name and rule/exception instructions are sent to TypeSafe. Your TypeSafe key authenticates that request.
